“tdotmusiq” hang in there with me, I know it’s getting pretty hard, but it will be worth it in the end
Good to see ya “E5” I’ve seen your latest work “Oversized” looks great !
Thanks “DogmaD” I have much respect for your work as well.
Feel free to drop by anytime, your crits and opinions are always welcome.
I don’t use much reference over all for my texture maps.
I try to go by the rule that dirt and scratches
tend to be more at corner or grooves and then once that
is in place I add a bit of random dirt. I painted most of the texture
by hand in Photoshop, but I used one 512x512 photo of old metal
to get the base color and noise and cloned it to make it larger.
you can’t really see that image unless you go real close to the surface.
About the animation part, you are right and that
is far from the final animation for that shot.
It would be much help if you can point out more specifically
what parts of the animation could be improved
so I can try to fix it when I get back to it.
I just stopped working on it because I wanted to work on the
scene then get back to tweaking her with the backdrop in place.
Animation is my weakest ability
I know very little about animation fundamentals.
I try to leave that to the real animators.
But I have not much choice for now, until I can find
a good animator to take care of that.
most animators do not want to animate her because she is
a pretty complicated model and a bit heavy and poorly rigged
I suck at rigging too .
But I try to do my best with what I do know,
because the show must go on.
PEACE !
