HARDCORE MODELING!: QOTRM: Queen

#1

Hey all, just putting in a place holder for my entry. I will be modeling the Queen using my own concept. Artwork and reference to follow soon.

#2

OK, here is my initial sketch, lots of details to flesh out yet. Going for a strong look to her, not necessarily muscular. Bolero style bomber leather jacket, shorty leather gloves, utility belt, tight breeches… shirt and boots to be determined. She will probably be holding the straps of and partially standing on her jet pack while looking off into the sky.

#3

Is she wearing old style flight pants or are her thighs that big? Either way, very nice concept to work from.

Pants like these from the USAF I mean.

#4

Definitely not her thighs, but not quite those type of pants either. More like these, but tighter like horse riding pants. They are called breeches:

#5

wow love the sketch! can’t wait to see this modeled  good luck:thumbsup:

#6

nice sketches… waiting to see progress on the model.

#7

Thanks guys  So here’s my 3d wip so far. Been having trouble getting her to look the way I wanted, but I think I’m there… aside from having bricks for hands at the moment  Re-topo next.

#8

I really like the pants reference…and the form stays very consistent between orthographic views and modeling, I look forward to seeing more!

#9

Hey Scott solid and great ! keep going !

#10

Thats a good optimized sculpt. She’s already got a lot of personality. I’m looking forward to seeing the retopo.

#11

Re-topo done and split the mesh split up. Ready to do some real sculpting.

Nice Start … you matched her with the refs pretty well …
waiting to see the second sculpt pass.

#18

Well it has been a busy past two weeks, work and life, so I haven’t been able to sculpt much. I got back to her tonight and made some progress with the clothes. It’s going to be tough to catch up before the deadline, but I’ll see how far I can get. Anyway, here are a couple images.

#19

nice update … the shoes are luking gud !!

#20

Wow, the seam on the pants is razor sharp, that is some small detail. Really like the way the gloves came out.
