         This is my first modelling challenge as well.  I have the time and figured it would be something to throw in the old portfolio, so why not.  I am going to do a interpretation of Panthro and give him a more cat like and modern feel.  Here are my source images as of now.  Some are the cartoon, some for the panther ref and some for human anatomy. Looks like a lot of fun… that third image always reminds me of Vin Diesel. So yeah, good luck, looking forward to a fun thread.

LOL, yeah, I always thought Vin would make a smashing Panthro.

Having a lot more trouble blending the cat and human features to were I am happy. Here is a wip.

His face is a bit wide and you might want to broaden the nose as he is part cat and they have a wider bridge on their noses, but great start man!!

Here is a update with some of the body blocked in. I also did some more small tweaks tot he face including shrinking his fangs.

another update body getting closer, have to re do the hands, not looking like how i want them to at all.

maybe you could have him be ‘more human’ around the ankle area?
Those fat ankles look kinda weird…reminds me of a horse and i know it shouldn’t :slight_smile:

stage-gr - thanks you are right, they are to fat.

here is another update. blocked in the clothing, good chance I will make some mods to his traditional clothes but we will see. I think its time to stitch and take it into zbrush.

found some new images of him I really like so decided to modify him a good amount now that hes in zbrush.

Great subject, i did a Panthro model myself, mixing the cat features with human anatomy can be pretty challenging, some crits on your wip, the head is too wide, the trapizius needs some work, as well as the deltoids and pecs, the legs could be reproportioned, though, if that’s your basemesh then it’s too early for constructive crits, looking forward to any updates.

This is looking pretty cool, I’d maybe widen those muscles up
a bit for a more masculine look. But lookin good.
