#1

I was so exited for this challenge so I took 3 days of work and did some crazy sculpting hehehe…

Here is the videos recording (time lapse):

Time Laps Part 2

Time Laps Part 3

Time Laps Part 4

Time Laps Part 5

This was the reference that I use:

Screen shoot 1:

I made the base in Maya in imported it to zbrush and decided to just sculpt a bust, so I deleted the legs and started sculpting. Seen here Time Laps Part 1

Screen 2:

I modeled the base mesh for the visor and hand grenade belt in Maya using the live trace tool.

Screen 3:

Adding some more definition to hands and body.
Here is the video: Time Laps Part 2

Screen 4:

Adding more details.

Screen 5:

Here I decided to add some legs and boots to get a nice pose and have a chance in this challenge.
Here is the video: Time Laps Part 4

Screen 5:

I modeled a belt, sword and holster strap in Maya and imported it in to zbrush for further detailing.

Screen 6:
Sculpting some details and adding a gun made in Maya to get that final cool pose, I’m working on the uv’s for some nice textures. Hope you like it more to come!!

Maybe it’s just me but left arm kinda looking weird, too wide maybe… And feet are a lil’ thin. But other than that? WOW! I liked it

Wow - not so much a wip as BANG - progress!

You’ve got some nice shapes/definition, especially in the upper body.

If you can I’d recommend having another pass at some of his proportions & definitely his final pose…

Overall his legs seem too long for the rest of his body & pose wise he looks off balance. From the side view his weight looks like it should be on his left leg but from your front & rear shots that leg is too far away to provide support.

I think if you have the time looking at these could really help the look of your finished model.

Good Luck!

Yeah, this one came outa’ no where. I think the left boot is a bit thinner. That looks like ZBrush’s ortho view so they should be closer in size.

Man, really good work so far.
