Hi Guys!

I know im veery late in this challange but whatta heck :wink:

Couldn´t resist any longer! This challenge must be the coolest yet =)
I mean, who born in the 80s doesn´t get goosebumps from this haha!
My dad always tells me and my twin brother that we looked like two skeletors when were just born, just cracks me up =P

Oh well back to reality!

I´ll be doing a slightly different version of him… not as ripped as in the series.
Didn´t really wanna do ONE MORE skeletor since there already are a few in play, but then i thought “why not make him the opposite to the others” =P

It will be really great to model side by side with all you awesome artists!

Lol, your Skeletor is priceless.

It’s him in 2009… Slumped on his throne in castle Grayskull, going; "I’m so tired of this same ol’ song and dance every week. Sure it was fun the first few years… but now… (sigh) Evil-Lynn!!! Get me another box of donut-holes, will-ya!!! "

That is a pretty good idea, just one comment… if you gonna go fat go all out! right now it looks to me like a muscular pregnant Skeletor, yet again you might not wanna take THAT far… looking forward to it.

@MistaFraggadeliX haha thanks! =) yeah i know it doesnt really show in the sketch but i´ll make him fatty, worn out and aaangry hehe =P by the way! i love your little tale about him, kinda homer simpsonish haha… and ofcourse the fact that he is sitting in “grayskull” :wink: Evil prevails!!!

@SNoWs Totally agree with u! thats the idea! did the sketches like 4 in the morning and was running out of steam haha… but mark my words!! skeletor has NOT been impregnated by He-man! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: …but maybe by man-at-arms… uu what a man hahaha =P

Fat skeletor!!!

I love the thought of that. After looking at a lot of forums lately, everyone is just going z-brush crazy on models. The eye can never rest while looking at those images. In my opinion 10,000,000 details doesn’t make something awesome, its the originality with a humoristic twist that makes me bow to those able to pull it off.

Can’t wait to see that man!!! Best of luck!

Originality is the key to great art, but I cant say I don´t drool over super detailed beautiful creations aswell. =P but the detail has to fulfill a purpose!

Okeey so here´s the basemesh i´ve just finished!
The skull is modeled from skratch, and the body is partially kit-bashed from “majin Buu” to save time since we are simulating REAL industry workflow.

Oh and i´ve even come up with a little background story about skeletor and his “floating” skull :bounce:

The being “skeletor” isn´t actually what u see…
he is in fact just a wormlike parasite living of its human host.
In order to possess the body he has to first remove the head or gain access to the throat from where he then extends his tentacles tapping into the motorics of the body.

If i have some time over i might create a detailed model of the parasite skeletor hehe :wink:

oh well… enough chatter!

Looking great, though, if I am not mistaken, everything has to be modelled from scratch?

I like your parasite idea by the way, sounds groovy.

Can’t wait to see your progress dude… Just saw your majiin buu and that was awesome. Always good to see other artist’s vision on existing characters. Expecting the same quality or better from your skeletor… Keep it up!:thumbsup:

Geta-Ve Yeah i know hehe, but i think it sounded worse than it is =) since skeletors body doesnt resemble buus even the slightest i only used the raw form as starting point instead if a cube that has been extruded 5 times. it just makes it easier to NOT start with a blank paper if you know what i mean (like a 2d artist that starts out a painting with just scribbles just to get something on that scary white blank paper)?

i still had to build up an entirely new topology and shape.
So basicly i started from skratch! =)
