Hand tool moves chunky

I noticed that when I use the hand tool to move my image around that it’s very clunky. I wonder why this is. Could it be the way the app works? Or is it my video card (nVidia quadro fx 1700)? I have 12g ram. The image was 2K so maybe that’s why. But that shouldn’t be too big. I wish I could get a smooth movement when moving my image, because it makes me feel better. Like everything is working correctly and things are smooth, you know?

Have you got ‘Draw zoomed-out views using area-averaging’ turned on? It often makes moving the canvas about very slow and clunky. You can find it under Edit/Preferences/General in the lower half of the dialogue box. Just make sure it’s unticked.

That is so much better. Thanks, I was going out of my mind with the clunky movement.
