I need a way to adjust the straps on this handbag and shape them so they don’t penetrate the hand. Could someone point me to some method that would allow me to do this.

Have wire deformer on the strap and have the cvs attached to a ctrl to get it shaped.

Since you already have bones on the strap, an easy solution would be aligning the rotation of the bones on top of the strap with one of the finger bones holding the strap, so the strap rotates in place with the finger.
Thanks for the advice guys it really helped out a lot, but I’m back because I’m getting some weird deformations when I try to move my rig. I know it has something to do with the wire deformers. The deformation gets worse the farther I move my rig.

I saw this video and tried to apply his method, but it just makes the verts on my straps to go hey wire. So instead of binding my mesh to the joints I created a wire deformer and parented it’s clusters to my joint chains. My join chains are being controlled by IK Chains.
Hi, thanks for replying again shinyprem, but I parent constraining the basewire curve to a base joint and I tried parent constraining it to the Control and get worse deformations when I move the ring around.
I also tried creating clusters for the basewire deformer and parenting them to groups which are then parented to the joint chains.
