h264 Frame size limit/restriction

Hi,
I usually work with video in high resolution, i.e. 3 1024x768 output to three projectors, that’s 3072x768.
What I did is have the animation done, compressed to Quicktime H264 and it works fine.

Once I upgraded to CS5, either AE or encoder don’t allow me to let the h264 quicktime to be larger than 2k resolution. Why is that happening?? I did it all the time in CS4

And I would also like to know what format/codec are usually used in outputing 3K up video to be played in computer, thanks!
