Greetings for 2005 !

Hello all !

I thought I’ll post this on this board too, as some of you don’t have access to the official Hash forum…

I’ve done my greetings cards in AM this year, and I’ve decided to show you the result, so that my friends are not the only ones to “benefit” form it !! :bounce:

I hope you’ll enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed doing it !

The image took about 10 hours to render on my PowerBook G4 with 49 pass… One week from idea to completion, with about 3 hours per day working on it…

Thanks for looking !

Nice image, good lighting.
DOF works well, not too jittery… then again I suppose it would look smooth at 49 passes!

Nice scene! I like the humour. It also has a good mood.

The wooden floor is nice - is it a bitmap? Reflections look much better now that the fresnell effect is in the renderer.

Thanks John !

Yes, the floor is a bitmap… I wish i could do a wooden floor like this in procedural, as I’m a procedural fan on my former 3D program, ie. LightWave 3D !

In fact, i know the tutorial that Yves has on his website showing how to do a wooden floor that looks like a real one, but i didn’t have the time to test it for this project… Next time, i hope !?

I wish Simbiont for AM and Enhance:AM exist on the Mac platform too, so that it would help a newbie on AM like me a lot !!

Hello, it’s me again !

I thought that, as I have post the project files on the Hash Forums, some of you would be interested by the files too ??!? :bounce:

So, i’ve decided to post the link here aswell…

Voeux 2005 Project Files (.Zip Format, ~8MB…)

Thanks for looking !

Regards,
Laurent aka Tartiflette :-))

P.S. : You can do whatever you want with the files, except of course show it as your work !! (just joking…)
