Graphics Artists Needed For 'Myst-Type' Game

#1

I’ve been using python with
pyzzle to test some stuff out and its definitely got potential. My
basic premise for a game is that a lot of the Myst type games can get
pretty damn spooky in parts, with the atmospheric music etc. If
real-time elements such as other ‘enemy’ characters were
introduced that could appear at points throughout the game, the
results should theoretically be some seriously brown pants as there is
now a genuine element of danger. In terms of storyline, I was thinking
of going for relative realism, possibly an 18th century English-type
manor that was housing some sort of cult with the player as a
journalist? Some features I’ve managed to implement so far (I only began
looking at pyzzle about a week ago) are an interactive journal (The
player can type notes, something I’ve always felt was lacking in the
genre), an event based journal so that certain significant
events/important information can be automatically noted and I’ve got a
couple of other things in the pipeline.

To give you an idea of what I’m looking for graphically, something
like: http://www.accessvacationrentals.com/photo…26photomain.jpg
would be good, lots of wood panelling, big fireplaces, secret
passages, moody lighting etc.

Obviously, everyone has time/impetus constraints, so I’ll be getting as many graphic designers as possible interested so you wouldn’t be
singe-handedly designing the graphics. – Thom
