Yup I agree with KWAK on the pecs. I think it’ll look better with it a bit more down. It’ll be nice if you could show some protruding ribs, or some monster bones. Fantastic work no less.
Cheers!

Well I’m back from my break, and the first thing I needed to do was fix that sternum. I’m not sure if I want to change the pecks yet. I think I’ll press on for now and fix that later if it stands out.
This screenshot is right out of zbrush.

i like creature’s pose a lot - very King Kong’ish
great skin shader too, would help to add some color to it
She seems a bit unnatural posed though, i would rather see her in classic, helpless, head bent back pose
I agree with JokerMax…
The creature looks fantastic, the pose, the detail… with textures this guy will be of-da-hook!
The woman however looks very awkward. I have no idea what her relationship is with the creature. Are they friends, enemies? Is she frightened, just waking up? Her pose needs to be as strong and as individual as the creatures to heighten the drama of this piece… nail that and you’re on your way!
Great work!
I’m not sure if I like her pose(the creature is not to be discussed, because it’s perfect). I think that her pose is good, I mean that this is how her body should look like if were held in that way. But sometimes unnatural poses look more natural in cg art:) I will think of some more helpful comment on it:)
wow…this looks really nice…i agree about the head thing…i think is more artistic if is posed back…
very great modeling man!
Nice!! finaly somebody that can match my modeling z-brush skills;-), keep up the goog work, i wanna see texture at least so good as the model.
I changed the stiff pose and the constipated look of my female character. I think the pose is better then the previous one. Time is getting short, so I need to start cranking on those textures.
I like your alien character, great modelling!
In my opinion, the female´s skin just looks a bit too plastic.
There are loads of tutorials available on the site, just search.
Cool attempt, keep going man!
The female character’s pose and expression are much improved.
Overall this looks simply incredible. I really like the scale and proportion of the modeling. You have created a powerful mood with the lighting.
This is my selection for first place.
Lovin’ your thread! :bounce:
It is really difficult to get a good pose that is believable, but i think that you have done really well on that score. The second pose is a lot more lively, although I did rather like the expression on the face of the first as it was more creepy…
Looks awsome though, can’t wait to see it finish!
I think I might try and tweak the female pose one more time. I’m still not satisfied with it.
I agree.Way too plastic. It throws it all off.Plus any environement planned? It is a space opera, you need at least some space or environment.the creature is well done, got some good potential.
I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but the girls foot in that paticular view suggests something at first glance…
