Grand Space Opera 3D Entry: Martin Sen
well I guess this is my final progress on the women model, I wish I could spend more time on it, but time is running out … (29 days counting down)
I felt I’ve tweaked the lips for hours now, I guess I’m going to live with it… hehe
Added more detail in the creases on the dress, and the outer coat - which are very slight if not even noticable.
The lower dress I will change a bit later on because I want the illusion of wind. So you’ll see the legs underneath as the wind pushes the cloth against it.
Started UV unwrapping, painfull process
congratulations!! nothing to add… maybe only that I can’t wait for the textures:thumbsup:
Excellent work my friend those clothes look really good. You have done an excellent job on this character so far. I cannot wait to see her textured to perfection! Keep at it!
it’s a boy! … i think ;p
completed the baby model, the body isn’t too detailed since it’ll be fairly covered up … going to model the blanket then that should be finished
c/c welcome
Alrighteeeee then Martin…Nice cute and very pleasant little guy…great to see you continue in the fast lane and with smooth progress…Your scene plan is coming along really nicely.keep it up,it’s turning out very nice and just as you planned…Nice work overall in all regards here, and that baby is another fine example of your skills…:arteest: :arteest:
Pretty cute small kiddo! I like alot the details and definition you put on your models, and this littley one is no exception!
Do you remember “Dancing Baby” animations? Ya baby…rock’n’roll!!:bounce:
Congratulations Martin… and also to the mother… this little guy is very pretty… but a council… you must finish him very quickly… the poor baby is not entire… that’s so criminal :banghead:
thanks to every1 for the kind words and crits…
I’m not going to model the feet as its going to be covered… but I’ll come back to this model if I need to again, maybe in the future…
right now rigging and posing to have both characters together, with the mother cradling the baby… alot more difficult than I anticipated - with alot of models touching and making contact with each other everything is in the way… argh
oh yes… almost forgot…
found the shortcut that hides/unhides the gizmo … hit “X”
hah!
another handy thing I’ve been using lately is grow/shrink … CTRL+Pagedown or CTRL+Pageup
u can use it in subobject mode, and select a polygon or a vertice or whatever, grow the selection and it selects everything around it.
Might be old news to some, but it’s handy for me… hehe ;p
I activated another cool feature by accident - not sure how I did it, or how to deactivate it :
somehow I snapped the vertices so that I could only move it along the edge that it is resting on. Very useful for keeping straight lines and moving verts about - anyone know to to toggle this?
thx again
DAMN! i miss u thread too!cool stuff!the dropship is awsome!well modeled,and very well designed!good job man!
Man…your woman and baby are almost alive …even without textures…i especially like the woman proportions…only think i could offer as an advice is …wipe that big smile of their faces …it’s killing the all mood …amazing work man…simply amazing…
lol haha… I normally model them expressionless, then work on it later… but I did the smiles to save a bit of time.
The smiles freak my brother out also… hehe
Hahahah…it’s like they say…WEEEEEEEEE…hahahahahah…
or …" HAG ME …i am gonna be your friend…" hahaha…ehhhmmmm…sorry …i got carried away…errr…i can’t help it …one more …
