I think you have an excellent eye for mood and atmosphere.A high level of class is very prevalent in your art…I love the feel,the whimsical touch…The colors are beautiful,not over stated,just right,rich.but classey,not over done…The modeling too is coming out aces…Just a very nice piece of work on all cylinders,and an escape to a wonderful beautiful place,I sure would like to book passage on that vessel with “Future” Columbus…See what you can do for me Kory…:wink:

I’ll admit I’m kinda worried on how similar our projects are, I’m also going to have ships landing in the background… but in a challenge this big, there will be artists having similar ideas, great minds think alike as they say…

some more development on colon.
I wanted to do this for a while I finally got a chance to. I wanted a character to look as if he could be bad or good.
I also decided to stay with my true callign and give him a bit of style.

I totally dig the bald guy, the ear piece looks better on him then the other concepts.

I tottaly like your character with the hair in the last frame in the right (in your last post)…Layout is also cool…man you did suprise me with this kind of hair …tottaly cool look… :bounce:

I like the guy’s look, and his smile remind of Quark from DS9.

I like the lower right version best,the smile brings alot of warmth and gets me closer to the character,I feel for him more,I care more because I like him…The others are nice too,they show there is another side to him as well…hair looks wind swept,and is a must,lose the bald look,if you got it (hair) flaunt it…:wink: :arteest:

I’m glad you guys are in to the direction I am going with the character.
After a few weeks of “realistic” stuff I couldn’t stand it any more.

In my final image I want to have a the viewer asking if this is going to be a friendly place
to settle or not. And visa versa, is the settlement going to be good for the new world.

Not quite in your face space opera, but hopefully it will convey a story and be cool to look at.
