Specular bloom is the glow we see that professional 3d artist put on the specular channel of the material to make it more believable especially when the lighting of the scene is at day as it is in your image. I hope this helps good luck and keep up the good work

#203

sinaris: thanks men, now I understand, I think that effect is going to be of much aid, i am going to try this tonight, thanks again!!

#204

Keep working this amazing piece! :buttrock:

#205

hi Gerardo,
it’s a nice image even wiwthout textures. well, there’s a lot of time yet left for your final image. 10+ days left. wish you luck!

#206

Thanks for the comments!!

shiela_G: well no much time now, i am working in give to the city more variation of colours, i am going to put an update in a moment, but still needs much work, and more colours!! thanks!! .

#207

tHE small ships in the back are always in the same 3 formation…, try to place them a bit different.

#208

well an update of the last state,it is not a good quality image only 150 kb it is not much, but well… still needs more color variation in the city, working in this, i add a texture in the floor, folowing the comments i add a little of especular bloom in the balcony, change in the water, and add texturing to the character, i am going to retouch the big ship it is not the final version, I relocated some of the ships, and i am going to add more variation in the formations of the ships, well still much work!! suggestions are welcome!!

#209

Approved seal :arteest: :arteest: :arteest: :arteest: :arteest:
¡Suerte Gerardo! :bounce:

• Hello again Damian!

• It looks amazing… …My only crit is the lack of living creatures outer of your main character of course, everything looks so clean and lonely, but of course, I haven’t read the story

• Minor details and you are done!, cool, I wish I can finish too!

#211

Dude this is some of the best work I’ve seen yet!!, like you say more work is needed on the city, I’ll check back when your futher along. Glad your not in my category or I’ll lose
Good work

Climax: yes, no much people, all are escaping of the city “evacuation” i am going to update the history and put a title in the last update, I think that Friday:thumbsup:

RobWes: thanks man, still I am fighting with the city!!:bounce:

#213

Thanks my friend, I am going to add smoke and trails to the ships that are leaving the city to accentuate the effect, the composition have 4 parts and the total time of rendering was 13 hours in a p4 2.4c 512 mb ram video geforce fx 5900xt. cheers!!

#216

close to final, i think… i add some elements in the background, and fx to the ships, (maybe i add 2 more small ships leaving the city), I corrected some errors and increases a little the variety of tones of the city.
crit. and suggestions will be very welcome!

#217

indeed nice piece of work… u are close to final mate… finish it!

#218

Great finish Gerardo

If I have to post one critic I think the forground structure needs some color or texture add… the motifs are great but all looks verry plastic-like… maybe some dirt or tiny bump… I suppose you know what I mean…

I`m looking forward to see your finished image :bounce:

#219

Looking good, I agree that a little bit of color added to the foreground would help draw your eye around the image. Keep at it!

#220

indeed you have nice pice of gso…welldone:thumbsup:
