#346

well, I cannot say anything that hasn’t been said in the posts before me, …your image makes me think in how important the idea is in all of this, “Space slugs VS Atomic Albino Hedgehogs”…it’s a great idea, and greatly executed, I’m happy that I can vote for more than one entry cause there are too many good ones but…if I had to choose one, I think it would be this one… if you don’t mind I think I’m going to print it properly…

good job!

#347

A great fun piece and idea…love what you have done

#348

Wow, man! Awesome entry! What I’ve seen 3D-entries, this is definately my favourite one! Only thing that bothers me a little is that you didn’t use whole possibly image aspect ratio for it. I really like the alien pilot and that fat ship on the right is cherry on the top.

Good luck!

#349

• Wow! I hadn’t seen this one! Very cool Fred, congratulations! and the best of luck!

#350

congratulations Fred

#351

#352

Man you didn’t even have a choice to be left out of top 15 , poor poor you!

Congratulations!

#353

Congratulations- and by the way, your vehicle designs are fantastic! I show them around a lot, very original and well composed.

#354

CONGRATUALTIONS !!! ha ha ha - incredibly funny the characters
you created - can´t stop laughing - ha ha ha - you did an amazing job -
just love those weird pilots - tres incredible, man -:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I would like to ask you a question if you dont mind : those textures you used
for the skin of the pilots and for the main ships : are they entirely handpainted
or did you use procedurals, too ? I guess lots of people here are curious if
you could reveal a bit about the techniques used / developed by you.

Kind regards [tom]

#356

the textures are 95 % handpainted.

The remaining 5% is photos, and some procedurals for the bump channel of the slug pilot.

#357

the textures are 95 % handpainted.

That , is sweet!

#358

Congratulations! Don’t know how I missed this one, you’d have had my vote for sure, very original.

#359

Excellent entry - truly top notch.
The idea, composition, modeling, texturing, lighting, execution all perfect.

Only crit that I can offer you is that I think if you were to add motion blur to the objects in the distance like the missiles and a few ships, it’ll really bring this peice to life - right now it has a very stationary feeling.

Congratulations. this was always one of my favs. :applause: :applause:
