Good Books About Illustartion?

#1

I’m planning on buying 2 books to a starting/hobby illustrator. Are there any “must-have” titles? I would love to get some recommendations. Thank you.

neods,

Check out:

Favorite Figurative Artists - Links

What type of illustration are you interested in? Modern illustration, or Golden Age of Illustration illustration?

Great old school illustrators:

Howard Pyle
JC Leyendecker
N.C. Wyeth

CG Illustrators:

Lots of great CG Illustrators on this site.

There are literally TONS of different kinds of Illustrators out there. Which kind are you most interested in?

Cheers,

Andrew Loomis!

Have fun. (Creative Illustration is probably the most all-round one there.)
