If you do a goggle search for programming 3D

you get programming games not 3D software

If you do a goggle search for programming cgi

you get common gateway interface

not computer generated images

Do you ever feel like there just out to get you ?

so our there any suggestions for goggle search words that will actually get me to 3D software code,tutorials,books ?

your best bet is to use the word “graphics”. Here are some examples:

3d graphics programming
3d graphics software
3d graphics theory
computer graphics theory
computer graphics programming

the term CGI isn’t really used so much in development circles (in my experience anyway). Also if you check out uni courses/websites they usually use the term “graphics” in some form or another.

It can be hard to make search engines work for you but the most successful way is to think about the phrases that the majority of people use rather than the strictly correct terms. this in itself can be time consuming but, for things like this, university/college courses give good hints.

one more thing

the order in which you enter the words in a search engine makes a difference to the results

if you type:

“programming 3d”

the responses will tend to place more emphasis on the word programming and not so much importance on the word 3d

i personally find you get better results with

“3d programming”

but it’s just something to bear in mind and play around with

filter the stuff you don’t want aswell. eg:

programming graphics 3d tutorial -games -gaming
