Glu3D's Pwrapper Motion Blur

#1

Hi All,

I recently aquired Pwrapper which is I find great (much better than blobmesh) - the only problem I am finding is that it seems to like motion blur very much. I want to get a velocity pass from Render Elements but all I get is a black sillhouette, I’ve been trying for ages in both mentalray + scanline but I can’t seem to get it working. Any help would be greatly appreciated :).

Thanks

One thing I realized I had to do with Realflow meshes to get a velocity channel was make sure image motion blur was turned on in the object properties even though I wasnt using image motionblur. I believe you need this on as the mesh has to give the renderer a motion vector as the renderer cannot figure out the moblur because of changing topology.
Dont know if pWrapper is the same though.

I haven’t really had a problem with it.

I just did a simple test then with pwrapper on a standard pflow, and velocities came out fine both in scanline and Vray. (Doesn’t look like MR has its own velocity RE - just uses the scaline?)

Try what Jordo suggested, sometimes you do have to fiddle around with settings like that but usually its fairly straight forward.

Are you able to get Vray to render Prwrapper meshes with it’s own mo-blur? I can only seem to get it with multi-pass, which is okay, but not as good IMO. I’ve tried with the physical cam and max cam’s and no joy.
