glow effect

#1

out of interest … does the Modo renederer render glow effects?

#2

Not at present I’m afraid. Has to be done as a post process.

#3

As I expected …thanks …

#4

Glows should generally be done in post anyway.

#5

probably right on that … I was just wondering … thanks

Hi,

I tried to test out an idea to see if I could get something to glow in Modo.
Here a scene to download, hope this helps.

#8

are u using a light?? Ill check it out later … thanks!!

Well, as he did you can make objects that emit light into the scene, but Modo doesn’t render post-process camera glow (bloom).

#10

Yes, that right Novakog.
But you can crank up the luminous values of a surface with GI turned on, this gives it a slight glow effect.
Btw, you should set the luminous surface diffusion to 0, so as to save your render time.
