Girl Pilot character concept

I would like to have critique about everything you think, good or bad. But also what things you think was good. So I know what to continue with and what to try to work harder on. Almost none reference was used for this image, just a few images to get inspiration and knowledge about the pilothelmet. Thanks alot.

Hey Hur, I like the Concept,
Overall I like the idea but some things to refine are proportions mainly,
the head of she looks smaller than the body and the helmet.

Respect to the Helmet, it looks very well defined (as a 3d shape) but if you look the coat it looks really flat (no volume there specially on her shoulders), so there is big break over there, and the Helmet (glasses) stole all the attention for that reason.
Perhaps crop a little the bottom to get a closer view and less empty space on the floor.
Just my point of view,
Cheers.

top to bottom:
hair could use more detail, like few strands of lost real bright hair outside of area.
face is nice, perhaps more shadow to either side - talking about shadows - whole picture falls a little flat because you didnt define a light source. no shadows, no highlights either.
skarf is believable, blends out well
design of jacket is fun, nothing generally picks at me there.
chest could use a lift ^^
she certainly lacks elbow in her right hand.
helmet is ok
more detail on pants, like folds and what not
shoes are good

Your anatomy is off, as mentioned. She has no knees, and why does she have only 3 fingers on her left hand?

You need to learn some basic anatomy lessons, such as how many heads tall is a torso normally, or that the nipples are usually one head’s length from the chin, or that a foot is usually about the length of the head, and so on. There are many standard proportion ratios you need to know and memorize–all competent artists know them.

You also need to work on your understanding of values, form, and lighting, or else your work will look like it’s lit arbitrarily without any logic or aesthetic design.

And you need proper references. Don’t listen to all the idiots out there who seem to think that using no references is some kind of badge of honor. You will never see a truly proficient and respected artist say that–only the ones who haven’t quite figured out what being a professional artist really means will regurgitate that kind of ignorant misinformation.

If you’ve never been to the Art Techniques & Theories forum, I suggest you go and read the sticky threads–they will be of immense help to you in your artistic growth (the link is below in my signature).
