GIMP + Leopard + TABLET!!

#1

Hi there, I’m an OSX user and I always wanted to work with GIMP but I couldn’t because of the lack of the tablet pressure support under OSX.

Yesterday surfing with google I found a way to make wacom pressure work with gimp on OSX.

Is as simple as installing Xquarz 2.3.2 beta (I think is the latests version)
Download Xquartz 2.3.2 beta
And the latests GIMP from GIMP.org.

Hope u find it useful, …I sure do. :applause:

BTW: If u want a different color theme for GIMP, just edit:

“/Applications/Gimp.app/Contents/Resources/etc/gimp/2.0/gtkrc”
“/Applications/Gimp.app/Contents/Resources/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc”

…and change “Leopard” for “Tiger”, “ProApp” or “Glossy P” at (gtk-theme-name = “Leopard”)

I really like “ProApp”.

I’m still testing GIMP and it’s really great! (now that I can use tablet pressure ).

Btw, GIMP resources would be greatly appreciated (Brushes, tool presets… etc).

Cheers!

You’re welcome!

Btw, you can take a look at the GIMP wiki for useful links about GIMP.
