Sierra Online is looking for a Game Services Programmer to design and develop component services for delivery of our groundbreaking online products currently in development.
Responsibilities:
[ul]
[li]Responsible for all technical aspects of the design, development, and deployment of component services supporting regional delivery of online games worldwide, including but not limited to service configuration and administration, build system, content streaming tools, patching, billing, authentication, account management, web services, virtual item management
[/li][li]Designs and implements major services components and systems ensuring consistence with company quality standards, interdisciplinary needs, and overall strategic direction
[/li][li]Works closely with the game server teams to meet milestones and design goals
[/li][li]Creates engineering plans and technical design documents
[/li][li]Assists with recruiting, managing, providing technical direction, task priority, coaching, mentoring, and problem solving
[/li][li]Encourages professional growth of client, server, and services team members worldwide
[/li][li]Works with the development leads to establish and maintain coding processes, standards, and methodologies
[/li][/ul]Requirements:
[ul]
[li]3+ years professional enterprise services development experience using C#, Python, and/or Java is required
[/li][li]Commercial SoA / ESB experience highly desirable
[/li][li]E-commerce services development experience highly desirable
[/li][li]Online game platform services experience a strong plus
[/li][li]Professional web services experience highly desirable
[/li][li]C++ development experience a strong plus
[/li][li]Python development experience a strong plus
[/li][li]Linux expertise highly desirable
[/li][li]Windows Server 2003 expertise highly desirable
[/li][li]TCP/UDP client/server application development experience preferred
[/li][li]B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
[/li][li]Willing to work on site in Issaquah, WA.
