Game rigging

Hi, I write this post to ask you guys what you think about rigging technique for games, especiality for low poly mobile phone games ?
I ask, because on my previous job I have worked in blender and in this soft rigging was very easy to make and export to unity3d.
But now I working on maya more tan one year and i wondering how create good, simple rig in maya with opurtunity export to unity ?? Im an animator and i know that rigging is totaly diffrent part of CG, but in my country very often this two parst are connected and animator doing rig and also animate.
So guys, have you any idea where i can start with those type of rigging ?? some tutorials or materials with workflow ?? I’ll be very thankful of any help :slight_smile: cheers!

Hi Mario,

I worked for diferent videgames project (mobile). this is my steps to work with unity:
1 - create rig in one hierarchy
2 - if is necessary i create some procedural animation to make more easy animation work and advance more fast
3 - skinCluster is 3 weigths per vertex (max)
4 - you can create jointHelper if the rig need it
5 - before export fbx file, do bake simulation (edit/keys/bakeSimulation) to test on unity, you can add any animation .
