Black Haven Productions is a non profit company of talented individuals from around the world who study, practice, and enjoy the arts of music, graphical art, traditionaly art, 3d modeling, 3d animation, CGI effects & cinema. As a whole a project is presented to the staff and tasks are assigned to those interested in creating a work of art such as a CG film, a modification of a game, or short music videos. Nothing here is expected to be professional however one vision is shared by everyone to sucessfully complete any given project.

Our first project is an artistically immersive modification for a PC game entitled Half-Life 2. This modification is highly anticipated as it has many new features and environments never depicted in any game.

–Title Descriptions–
Story Writer: One who’s story writing abilities surpass an average story teller. Advanced story writing is recommended. Detailed discriptions of characters and objects in a story are welcomed. The writer must have had experience in story writing along with a passing grade in a college level literature or english course.
Script Writer: Much like the story writer, the script writer must be dedicated with the task in coming up with scripts from the story given to him. Detailed discriptions on events, emotions, and other actions are required for the voice acting purposes. Same expectations apply here as does with story writing.
Sound Editor: Sound editors are expected to have brief knowledge with any sound editing software including Cool Edit Pro. The only expectation of a sound editor is to be able to work well with the Sound Engineer and the film crew.
Video Editor: One must have knowledge in video editing software. Adobe Premiere is recommended and primarily used in Black Haven. Knowledge in titling, special effects, transitions, video quality, compression, ect. is required.
Sound Engineer: This experienced artist must be able to either create or obtain numerous sound samples upon request. A wide selection of multiple themed sounds is recommended, ranging from environmental to science fictional.
Voice Artists: Think you have what it takes to make the cut? You must have done previous work for other productions. Your microphone must be near static free condition. Musical Composer: Music is the hidden character in every film. Music can not only guide the viewer to the mood of the film but also set the setting for great spectacular feets. Website Designer: One who’s talents lies in the brilliant visuals. That’s the description of a great Website Designer. Your work must surpass or come to par to any of the follow sites. If you believe we can make an acception, go ahead and send us your sample.

Web Hosting/Master: One who’s main goal is to provide and maintain the company’s website. Dependency will not required, just knowledge and experience. Send any links to hosts you are aquainted with to the email address provided.

Conceptual Artist: The foundation of all creative design lies within this person. Experience in landscape and/or character design is expected.
Texture Artist: This person must have a slew of textures at his disposal. Previous work in texturing structures and landscapes is preferred but not required. This person will be working greatly with level designers, graphic artists, and even possibly modelers.
3d Character Modeler: This is another important role. As a modeler you must be able to take conceptual art and make any given character come to life in the 3d world. Experience in 3d modeling is required and experience in modeling under polygon limitations is highly preferred. Expect to be modeling for game engines as well.
3d Character Animator: Modelers may apply for this position as well if you consider yourself an average to above average animator. Most of the projects will expect realistic animations so cartoon styled animators need not apply. Experience in non human characters such as animal animation is welcomed as well.
Level Designer: This is one of the most important roles of the game division of the company. As a level designer you will be recieving concept art of environments of the game and key areas of the game world that may need your extra attention. Experience in using Half-Life 2 source tools is recommended as well as experience in Unreal ED. Level designers with experience in creating levels from any computer game are welcomed to apply.
Half-Life 2 Coder: This is considered the heart of any modification development. As a coder you are expected to see if the key features of a game design are possible to create in the given game engine. Above all your own creativity is welcomed. Experience in coding for Half-Life or Half-Life 2 is expected.
