Game MOD: Dark Mod for Doom III

The Dark Mod needs more modellers.

Too many of our modellers are currently Absent With Leave, and we could use a few more in order to keep pace with the rest of the work on the mod. The programming and textures are already way ahead, and frankly there aren’t enough models to show it all off. We can use placeholders until the very last minute, but it is nice to be able to keep things coordinated and actually have some original 3D content in the game, so we can solve problems which arise earlier rather than later.

We appeal to all range of modellers, not just those with experience creating characters; there are plenty of simpler models to make as well.

We’re going to be sorting out our campaign and missions storyline, including characters and locations. It’s going to be Steampunk/medieval/Victorian/fantasy/magic/guild/city/thieves/espionage related, as seen in the Thief series of games. Think a serious, gritty almost noir-like environs. A place where thatched rooves, stain glass and cobbles fit in alongside with boilers, pipes, gears and machinery as well as elemental magic, paganism, bizarre rituals and powerful religious sects.
