game mod: Apprehension needs additional artists

#1

Hi everyone, great site you have here!
Apprehension is a combination rts/fps game with an emphasis on teamplay. It features vehicles, droids, costomizable weapons, and a really cool interface
It’s currently about halfway done; much of the gameplay is in place, and we have functioning placeholders for just about everything in the game. We have 2 talented 3D modelers, and several programmers. Our major shortcoming is that we don’t have a strong definition of the look and feel of the game. The setting is a futuristic one, with a strong emphasis on nano technology. This presents some challenges: instead of a dirty worn-in look, the objects in the game must be clean, new-looking, almost seamless, and free of paint. Energy is to be used rather than paint, to give the game an alive and dynamic feel (much like the covenant weapons in halo: a shiny, almost plastic look)
You can visit our temporary moddb website here:

Or visit our old info section here:
http://www.planetunreal.com/apprehension/about.htm
That info is fairly outdated, but I can send the latest design doc to anyone who wants to see it.

Here’s what we need:

1: a concept artist

[ul]
[li] strong background in the traditional illustration methods
[/li][li] vision for futuristic themes, especially the nanotech/clean look
[/li][li] ability to design droids, vehicles, and/or buildings especially
[/li][/ul] 2. a texture artist

[ul]
[li] ability/time to create at least a few finished textures per week
[/li][li] an eye for futuristic themes, especially the clean nanotech look (such as that seen in the halo weapons)
[/li][li] experience with the Unreal engine material system is a huge plus, but not required.
[/li][/ul] If you’re interested, please email me immediately at aaronflippo@yahoo.com
please have some samples of your work posted online somewhere, or email them directly.
Thanks!
Aaron
