GAC 11 - William Wallace

Hoots mon! doing big willie wallace but a more pumped up and crazy, rock out in your face, massive sword weilding , eat english armys for breakfast , armour clad, big bearded , steely eyed warrior lord. Oh Yes.

Age: (deciding on what age range at the mo…either gonna be late 20’s or 40’s. depends on beard see.)
Height: 7 ’ 3
Nationality: Scottish
weight: damn heavy
hair: brown dreadlocks and other things
Weapons: insane double handed huge claymore with thick blade and ball and chain.
Fighting Style: big sword swings, boots to the face, “glesgae kiss” ( headbutt)

concepts are on the way once i organise my collection of sketchs. for now i modelled a hand and sword. just cos i had an urge to model a hand!

Pretty cool. Hope that isn’t his sword though - William Wallace was a big guy with a gigantic sword, the blade itself was 52 inches long. If you want a really recognizable wallace you should look into researching his sword.

the hand could use a lot of work - fingers taper, they don’t become larger as you get away from the hand. the primary knuckles could easily be more exaggerated. also, if you are intending to spend 15k tris on this character, you can probably double the poly count in the hands alone. Also, the collapsible areas that you’ve built into the finger joints are way too small to work properly in-game. At rest the thumb is not that level with the rest of the hand, it hangs down some.

concepts below will give my intentions of the sword size…

about the hand. i’m going for a more stylistic design on this venture, so i want really chunky hands. i agree about the poly count. i’ll come back to the hands once the body and main parts are all done to see what i have left. what did u mean about the joints tho being to small to work ingame?

Oh, I see what you’re going for. Nevermind! I was thinking more of a claymore, thats sort of a giant broadsword. Cool though, can’t wait to see it started.
