History.
Born in India around the turn of the last centaury Gandhi was one of the greatest freedom fighters and pacifists. A timid youth, legend has it he used to chant to Ramah, a Hindu god, for courage. A lifetime campaigner for peoples rights Gandhi believed in non-violence and would use peaceful methods like hunger strikes and people power to resolve conflicts. He is probably best known as the figurehead of the Indian revolution against the English occupation in the middle of last centaury.
During the revolution, however, the British had actively incited Muslim separatism that caused great civil unrest. Gandhi was angered by this and stated that if they wanted to continue fighting among them selves they would have to kill him first
which they did. Gandhis last words were he ram, a prayer to Rhama.
The end result of these unresolved tensions was the split of Pakistan from India and their ongoing nuclear standoff.
Concept.
The tree of brinkmanship, watered for decades with unrelenting hostility and violence, has bourn its fruit at last. Its nuclear seeds fall from the sky defiling the sacred land.
Ramah, enraged by the devastation calls forth his most faithful follower, Gandhi. Empowered with a mandate from the gods, and armed with his spiritual sword of truth, Satyagraha, Gandhi is reborn to cleanse the earth of those who would hate and oppress.
