GAC #11: Ebenezer Scrooge

#1

One christmas was changed for Ebenezer Scrooge when he saw all of the good he was missing by being selfish and stubborn. That is when Ebenezer lost all control.
No longer feared by anyone, Ebenezer was robbed, lost control of his company and was even beaten by Tiny Timmy and his cane.
Ebenezer has vowed for revenge and uses christmas as a means of slaying helpless children every year.

Ebenezer is back - you better watch out and you better hide!

Name: Ebenezer Scrooge
Weight: TBD
Hair: almost gone
Eyes: blue
Location: England

Ebenezer fights with a cane and gold coins that he will recover once the victim dies. Ebenezer keeps a count of his slayings by making chicken-scratch counts along his cane.

Best of luck - ill be looking forward to updates!

not sure exactly which way I am wanting to go with this yet…I would love any suggestions.

I am thinking like a menacing scrooge about 8’ tall, but I dont want to lose the “scrooge” of it… know what I mean?

but I didnt like the coloring I did on the concept earlier (I am bad at painting or texturing)
so here is an update and the idea I have for his cane…

critques!! comments!!! criticism!!

Think Ron moody’s portrayal of Fagin in the oliver twist film!

Thin, scrawny, and repulsive!

hey Andy - I thought about that, but I also am trying to think of a fighting game character and he has to be somebody that people would want to select as their character. That is why I was thinking bigger…but I will consider your way too.

also - should I do scrooge in his suit or scrooge in his pjs when he is dreaming??

This was directed to you Andy H and KWAK - you are texture geniuses, so I am hoping you guys will help me when it comes to the texturing part as well…

I havent decided the exact way I am going (proportions wise), but here is the start of the modeling.

Its a tough one trying to make Scrooge anything but thin and scrawny as hes so popular to everyone! Maybe you could think about an extra bit of the story to beef him up a bit. I like the idea of the pj’s but really would anyone take him seriously who was fighting him?! Lol. I think trecnhcoat is the best course of action. Maybe you could have the ghosts of Christmas past/present and future affecting him in some way?
Oh and mttjss I see you’ve started modelling, I know everyones eager to start but i think you shouldnt go too far until you’ve nailed down what you want!
Keep going!

some ideas…I am gonna take the rest of the week to really figure this out before I start modeling him.

I am gonna go small and scrawny, but use his size and cane as an advantage.

Do I model his coat and hat as part of him or seperate?

Well, you know I am looking forward to this. I agree with everyone that he should be scrawny and you should really finalize your ideas before you start modeling. You’ve got 3 months after all. I would also highly recommend drawing out a character model sheet to help you. Modeling without a close references is HARD! Keep the ideas flowing.
