FumeFX and Thinking particles problem

I have TP and FumeFX installed, but I still get the annoying error message that claims that FumeFX_TP.dlo failed to initialize. So what is my problem? Any help will be appreciated.

Easy one - often it’s the order they load in, if the fume dlo loads before it knows it has thinking particles, you get the error. Edit your plugin.ini so that fume loads first.

It seems, that I have incompatible versions, thats that they told. I think, that after FumeFXes next version comes out, this will be corrected.

hi,
I ran into this error message with max 2010 once when reinstalling the TP4 SP2 and SP3 once.

but when I used the manual install .zip and dropped the TP fume dlo in the folder, it would load up fine and the error did not appear. Not sure why exactly it worked - might be load order - hope that helps. after install the FumeFX ops appeared properly in TP4’s menu.
