I am trying to render a FumeFX cache using Mental Ray. It works on my machine but renders black frames on the render farm. The logs seem to show that the caches are being found, and getting loaded. It looks like maybe an illumination map is not being generated? (I get no alpha channel, though…?)
The logs were previously complaining about not finding the plugin, I think, but that’s been resolved. The frames do not error out, they just render very quickly.
I’ve tried turning on the “sim only license” option on the FumeFX node. No help.
This is using Maya 2014, Win 7, and FumeFX 3.5.5
Is there anything else to try? Anything?
