[font=Arial]Department: Lucasfilm Animation (U.S.)[/font]

[font=Arial]Position Summary:[/font]

[font=Arial]Responsible for leading, supervising, setting up, and overseeing the US and Singapore based asset creation pipeline for Digital Features. Direct report departments include: Modeling, Texturing/Shading, Rigging/Simulation, and Animation.[/font]

[font=Arial]Primary Responsibilities:[/font]

[li][font=Arial]Collaborates and partners with the Key Creatives to implement efficient, cost effective and realistic solutions to the asset workflow.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Works with the Digital Feature Director and Key Creatives to determine the ‘look’ for an animate or inanimate asset.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Reviews the show assets and advises on necessary changes ensuring quality control and that the technical setup will meet the requirements of the production pipeline.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Delegates work where appropriate to the asset creation leads, while providing mentorship, critiques, and stepping in to troubleshoot as needed.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Participates with show leadership in determining approach to asset creation by communicating the pros and cons during the decision-making process.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Conducts regular meetings with all members of direct report departments to obtain feedback on issues arising, and communicates along with solutions to the production management in order to meet production quotas and department goals.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Partners with HR, Staffing and Training to coordinate the technical requirements of recruiting, hiring and training for the asset creation departments for the U.S. and Singapore offices.[/font][font=Arial] [/font]
[/li][/ul][font=Arial]Education, Experience and Skills:[/font]
[ul]
[li][font=Arial]Bachelor’s degree in animation production or computer graphics, or equivalent work experience.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Minimum of three years experience in a supervisory or management position. Feature film production experience and/or experience working with animators required.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Technical experience with and knowledge of computer graphics required.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Shows demonstrable technical strengths as well as well-developed aesthetic judgment.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Thorough knowledge of UNIX, shell scripting, and at least one high-end graphic package, i.e. Maya or other high-end software animation packages.[/font]
[/li][li][font=Arial]Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.[/font]
[/li][/ul][font=Arial][/font]

[font=Arial]Physical Requirements:[/font]
[ul]
[li][font=Arial]75% of time spent using a computer.[/font]
[/li][/ul][font=Arial][/font]

[font=Arial]Additional Requirements:[/font]
[ul]
[li][font=Arial]Up to 25% overseas travel required.[/font]
