For your consideration,

We are proud to announce that our Doom 3 machinima project goes one big step ahead. We are currently discussing with artists, coders, producers and partners to insure the making. Due to agreements, we can’t post people or company names here, until 1st of January 2005.

The project is geared about two major objectives :

  • We intend to create a realtime movie, and we’ll use the Doom 3 engine to both create and screen it.
  • We intend to use artificial intelligence within the movie, to take advantage of the real time engine.
  • The movie will be based on a science-fiction storyline.

We are looking for talented & seasoned artists to complete the team :

  • Level Designers (Radiant) - esp. Single Player experience.
  • IA Coders (D3)
  • Texture artists
  • Plug-ins developpers (LW-D3)
  • Animators (LW) - esp. motion capture experience.
  • Event scripters (D3)
  • Sound designers

Requirements :

  • Members should be able to follow the schedule.
  • Artists and coders must be able to bill as freelancers.
  • One decisive experience in gaming industry or modding community.
  • Leads must live +/- 2 time hour from France (West Europa)

FYI : Actual Schedule

Sept. - Oct. 2004 Financing / Recruiting / Partnerships
Nov. - Dec. 2004 Preproduction
Jan. - April 2005 Production
May - June 2005 Post production

If you have any questions about the project, or wish to take part, please contact us via email : xavier.lardy@wanadoo.fr

Some questions won’t be answered on forums until January 1st of 2005

Best Regards,

Xavier “aVe” Lardy

@ admins :
