Freezing fire in FumeFx

#1

Hi guys,

Below is the scene scenario.
Two characters are fighting with each other(lets assume X and Y).First X throws fire (like flame thrower) on the Y.Now Y block the fire with ice vapour and freezes the fire. After some time the freezed fire breaks and fall down.I will be using fume fx for this.

I am worried about the interaction of ice vapour and fire.

Any help for the approach of this shot would be appreciated.
I will update with my WIP…

Thanks in advance

Interesting, I have something very similar storyboarded  Anyway - you sim the FFX, then you run particles through it and render with Krakatoa. You can retime there. Meshing for the ice - PWrapper. I’ve done particle ice, it’s possible. A nice shader on top and you’re set! Then in a separate shot, you snapshot the PWrapper mesh, then break and dynamics with Rayfire.

Man that sounds tricky, but definitely doable.

Lots of tinkering with timescale. I might have to give something like this a shot.
