Fracturing an animated geomtry?

#1

Hey all,

I need to fracture an already animated geometry, it’s part of a ship that gets smashed when near colliding with a cliff. So the mesh is bound to the rig of the ship and has deformation.

I’ve been trying to accomplish this with pulldownit, I don’t really know my way around yet but when I try setting the body of the fractured pieces to animated mesh nothing happens at best, sometimes all the geometry disappear and I get errors about negative mass, it will then typically give me a fatal error upon reaching the end of the timeline.

If anyone who has experience in this scenario could enlighten me how you’d approach this I would love you in return!

Cheers!
