footage folder import, doesnt recognise sequence

dear AE artists.

im on cs4/xp/32bit. the manual says when importing a whole footage folder, you shold get the option to check on “sequence”, but the option is grayed out. the content of the folder gets imported imported, but as a row of stills, not as the expected bunch of sequences. ( naming conventions are correct).

how can import lots of render passes without going repeatedly through selecting the first frame of each pass and coosing “multiple sequences”?

in toxik, image sequences are automatically detected and displayed as such in the import dialogue, all the single frames are filtered out. is there a similar option in AE to only display sequences in the import dialogue?

Use the SmartImport.jsx script.
