Fog & UVW Mapping

#1

Plz help me on this 2 questions :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. Can you please tell me, those who know how to, put some kind of foggy effect on 3dsmax. either so there is fog or giving the effect like when you see mountains the farthest mountains like like white because of the air layers?
if anyone knows how please tell me.

  2. uvw mapping, i really want to learn how to properly map. i’ve read many tutorials on uvw, and i understand the main concept of the little pieces pasted on a sculpture :stuck_out_tongue: , but on 3dmax i unwrap the uvw and when editting the uvw i flatten the object into several pieces. now i dont get home do i know which piece is which part of the object. on the tutorial it says that when u clicked on the piece on the uvw editor it got red on perspective mode, it doesnt happen in my 3dsmax. also i’ve seen when mapping faces it flattens up but it doesnt actually separate into different pieces, its more like a mask that its afterwards putten in the person’s face. Ive tried searching in google lots of times but i just cant get it right. please help
