Hi. I am new in flint and i want to create an additive key for my two shots.
How can i make this? Many thanks.
Flint additive key
I’m not sure what you mean with “additive key” but there are various blending modes available in action including additive modes. Go to the surface menu of you image and there you’ll find that “blend” is the dafault option. There are even more options if you use a logicOp (best to do it in batch).

get your key working normally…i am going to assume you’re doing it through the keyer in action. go into the keyer, then go into blending, and pull either the bottom left or bottom right curve point up to the top and you should get what you want. there is a tip on www.fxguide.com that explains this with pictures, or at least there used to be!
you should get on flame-news if you’re not already on there, btw…is a much, much better resource than these forums. go over to www.discreet.com and go to the support section for info on how to sign up!
happy flinting!
If you need the above quick, just set your surface mode to “add”, you won’t be able to use transparency then but its faster than having to adjust the blending curves in the keyer…
It also seems to process just a little faster (but that might also be my imagination :))

yeah, the lack of transparency control is why i mentioned the keyer / blending curves method instead of using the surface popup in action. i think “simple add” mode finally gives transparency control, but for some reason i’ve always steered away from it. can’t remember why, but i’m sure it burned me somewhere.
