Flash animation by 14 yr old

HI please check out my flash animation appx 1 yr old done in v.5
it’s 4 a school website

please critique the music is Lunatic Calm
i know it doesn’t realy apply to the website but its a cool song
also the spin head anim and all animation pics were done by me if u wann to critique them also

for a 14yr old kid, i think u can do better… =P

here’s some crits for ya dude!

  1. give your HTML a title. “untitled” in the title bar isn’t all that pro.

  2. your “enter” button needs a hit area. gaps between letters are causing the cursor change, making ur button unclickable. kinda annoying.

otherwise… keep it up! by the time you’re 27… you’ll be a master Flasher.

i didn’t make the page with the flash on it just the movie itself, some one else put it on a page, also i did make one with a new hit box but for some reason it’s not uploaded, oh well this is last years page and will be redone anywayz

Too much, too fast. The opening video is fairly good, but the actual page is too busy. Tone it down a little bit.

ssyed , don’t defend yourself like that, it makes yourself suspicious. learn from the critics. animation too fast is a critic about the animation, not about the website.:hmm:

i don’t really work on the web page and didn’t make it i don’t mind criticism, i know it’s not a great animation, people do better i only spent a little time and wanted 2 know what people think so i can make a better one next year, it won’t be done totally in flash i plan 2 use swift3d

Geez… do people read? LOL He really did say he didn’t do the main html page, and just the animation. And in his defense I don’t think he was acting defensive at all.

But hey I like it. Not bad for a 14 year olds work I must say. Very impressed.

The only crit I have perhaps is the pacman type of robot with the blue sphere shading. The gradient fill can be worked on a little bit more since it looks like a traditional flash button.

Perhaps adding a light source from two different directions can help make it look a little more. Cut out a shape of a crecent moon and give it a transparent gradient and then lay it over the sphere.

A few highlights might help a little too.

But seriously, you have some good potential here. Keep up the good work dude. :thumbsup:

it started very nice but when that ball came out and opened i stopped being impressed :shrug:

I agree with FrizzyCube … nice work and at 14 too !!! :buttrock: if you continue with it… in a couple of years WOW :thumbsup:

also agree with FC on the “pacman” shading, but otherwise I like it.

thanks, i am trying to work on my flash skills, but i started that i think when i was 11-12 and stopped when i was 13 , now i’m really into 3dstudio max and stuff which is why i want to blend my skills in both programs using swift which i can’t wait to order, is there educational versioN?
yes, i agree i shouldn’ use the default gradient it’s pretty cheesy looking, also, the part where theres like a flower like thing … that’s pretty mis centered and stuff.
but thanks for the comments thats mainly what i was wanting for people 2 say: specific things that are wrong so i can take a better look

ssyed!!! you did a great job! i think it’s excellent.
well as other people have posted there are some minor adjustments here and there and perhaps few different approach to the animation but nevertheless it’s good!

well… let me tell ya… for a 14 year old, your better than me! haha… and im 16… and have been using flash for about 4 years now. :eek: well done… very active.

I am 16 and never mentioned my age when I show a work
