First Time PC Builder, help?

#1

I am looking to build a decent PC for working in C4D R13 Studio, Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Most anything would be better than the 2 year old Presario CQ57 I am working with now, but here is my cart list from newegg… what do you guys think?

-Refurbished HP L1710 Silver 17" 5ms LCD Monitor ($55.99)
-Rosewill R519-BK ATX Mid Tower w/500W Power Supply (69.99)
-Mouse and Keyboard (39.99)
-Ballistix 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM (40.99)
-AMD A6-3670K Unlocked Llano 2.7GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core APU (79.00)
-Samsung 840 Series MZ-7TD120BW 2.5" 120GB Sata III SSD (99.99)

-AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W 8-Core (370.00 for this and the following)
-Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G Motherboard
-Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0GB/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
-Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM

SubTotal $756.94
Shipping $20.87
Total $777.81

Also looking into cheap but usable graphics tablets, if anybody has any suggestions.

Thanks for your time.

Hi

-Refurbished HP L1710 Silver 17" 5ms LCD Monitor ($55.99)
look at an used only 1 or 2 year old Monitor resolution Full HD

-Rosewill R519-BK ATX Mid Tower w/500W Power Supply (69.99)
okay
-Mouse and Keyboard (39.99)
okay

-Ballistix 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM (40.99)
buy 8GB Chips … like Kingston or GEIL … used is okay … think about 16 or more

-AMD A6-3670K Unlocked Llano 2.7GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core APU (79.00)
i used AMD for year , but intel are better
-Samsung 840 Series MZ-7TD120BW 2.5" 120GB Sata III SSD (99.99)
okay, maybe look at the pro serien, faster and not really expensive

-AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W 8-Core (370.00 for this and the following)
i prefer i7 3770k or I7 2600k

-Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G Motherboard
Link look for this, 75$ and you can overclock the i7 to 4.2 - 4.5 not with stock cooling

-Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0GB/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
okay

-Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
okay, maybe 16Gb or more …

think about the grafic card. i prefer nvidia. k600 or GTX 650, the same chip …

i hope this helps

best regards

Please don’t double post. Your questions have already been answered in another thread (link below if you need a refresher).

EDIT: Never mind, I see it was brought back from the dead by the previous poster.

Try this recipe:

Intel® Desktop Board DZ77GA-70K LGA1155 ATX, Intel® LGA 1155 CPU: 3rd Gen Intel® Core i7 I7-3770 3.4Ghz CPU, Intel® 240 GB SSD

Or upgrade to the 4th Gen i7 when they come out (which is pretty soon).

You’re replying to a month old post for a 700$ PC, and the new Intel CPUs have already come out weeks ago :stuck_out_tongue:
Also, Intel SSDs these days are not worth buying in the consumer and prosumer markets, don’t recommend them

sorry 'bout that.
