Fire Gates

#1

latest work for me. Done in Photoshop… I still have a few issues with colors and image integration and I think I still needed to work on the snow on the church (on close-up view) but since this will be viewed small, I decided to just get back on it laterzzz

Any comment or suggestion will be appreciated

Nice work. I like the idea and the overall composition.
I would like to see some more fire and smoke though
I have some photos I took some years ago, if you need some high res reference.

thanks! Adding fire is actually a good Idea… let me play around with that… it might be pretty small though, since the scale of the scene is huge and lava usually doesn’t have huge flames… maybe on the church/building itself would be great… Thanks! I’ll DO IT!

Yea mate …the amount of steam that lava would create hitting that ice would be huge … Good job on completing it in time though

very nice, great colors and concept, you have some very sharp edges that you should take care of, if you have fire in a glaciers you must have lots of melted ice, or reference of it, water and shinier or more reflective surface in your ice elements near the fire, also some wird ice formation due to the heat could work better,
nice one !

one thing i noticed that your black levels are pretty similar through out… at least in the mid and foreground stuff… might help integrate things better
awesome work though love it!

Thanks for the comment guys! I really appreciate it! Its always refreshing getting a different perspective from other people. I will try to change a few things to make it more believable, thank very much

Hey man, thanks again! Actually I double checked black levels of the image and I think it only looks like its consistent, but actually its not. The changes are very subtle, but its there. Thanks again

I agree. Even though it is very subtle it should be more visible since you have a lot of ice and lava. The atmosphere would be very thick with moisture. I also agree with Jaime about the hard lines. Other then that this matte has huge potential!

Keep it up dude!

Thanks, thats much clearer to me now… I’ll get on it and these fixes up! Thank you very much for the comments guys!
