Hello
I have a problem - once again Maya does not behave like I would expect it to do:
I made a Polygon-Model and attached it to some Joints via Smooth Skin. It’s a mirrored model with two identical pieces. The original piece has no problems, the copy yes.
The skeleton is in an animated group, the geometry not. The group moves and rotates.
That works for nearly the whole model, except for about 10 faces. They seem to only get the translation data but not the rotation data. So they move along with the object but always keep their orientation, even when the rest of the object is rotating.
I already checked the vertices framing the faces with the Component Editor and the Paint Weights Tool - they are fully assigned to the root-joint like all the neigbouring vertices.
Now is there a way to find out what causes the faces not to rotate? Like displaying all input-connections for the faces/vertices? Or any other idea?
Every help is appreciated…
Thanks in advance!
