Figure drawing courses...

Hi!

I recently moved from Paris to Montreal and I was wondering if someone could tell if there are figure drawing courses in Montreal because I didn’t find anything but the university but the courses are only in september…

I don’t know about figure drawing classes as such, but I know next year Massive Black are thinking of hosting their next workshop there.

I believe Art Tech on the corner of Parc Av. and Sherbrooke Ouest has some courses.

If not, McGill’s life drawing sessions are nice training.

I didnt know mcgill offer life drawing, but i know concordia have free model on monday nights from 6:30-10:30.

Yes, McGill Life Drawing courses are available in both fall and winter semesters. The first term has ended, so you can expect them to be back sometime early January.

The usual schedule is monday nights, 6:30-8:30pm in Room 632 of the Education Building (3700 McTavish St). Sessions are 6$, with all supplies included (several media), or 36$ for the semester.

Well since the semester just ended, there wont be any open model till the first week of january. But it usually open every week. A model will be posing for 3 hours, everyone can ask for their pose and the duration. No teacher tho,just good old pratice, students are pretty nice there and some of them amazing drafter.

It’s one of McGill’s student groups/clubs, open to anyone as far as I know. They just care about life drawing, not your student ID.
