Hey Folks,

Just to keep things going here, I have done some modelling  I think everyone is a little burned out from the hectic weeks past but lets keep going and get this scene complete  it will be worth it in the end.

Anyway since nobody had attempted it I decided to attack the lawn mower. I used BOY1DA’s refs as best as possible to get this far. I wasn’t too sure what the squiggle to the right of the engine was (on the flat bit of the mower) so i have decided to wait at this point for feedback and further instructions. Oh I am not overy fussed on the rear wheels so I will probably re do them again, if you have any design suggestions feel free to share.

BTW I am not much of a machine modeller so I am sure there are a lot of things that need fixed. The mower does have a blade but no engine, i don’t think this will be needed but let me know if i am wrong BOY1DA.

Anyway here it is. Feedback welcome…it’s late so it’s time for bed…until tomorrow…

NICE JOB! :applause:

#163

Okay great thanks  because I had some fun playing with the character (tried to make him dance lol was quite fun but nothing worth showing hehe) but well I had some weird twists when not using the alt-right click  now it works way better

As said TheFreak things calmed down quite a bit so if there is somethign left to do let me know

Hey Guys,

Just a little update to the rear wheels of the lawn mower.

#165

Ah yeah… That looks like a great start. Keep it up! No real crits from me. I will let you do that on yourself. lol.

#166

Very good interpretation of my very poorly drawn concept.

Just a few small comments.
The front would look a bit more stylized if you curved it.
And the heat sync also with a taper at the front.
The rear wheel, I like much better in your update.
I think just a larger version of the front wheel for the back would look just as good.
But again the rear wheel you have now looks fine too, works for me…
Maybe too many spokes in the rear wheel.

Oh, this is also my fault because of the concept, but the motor
may have to be moved to the middle so that the spray cans can fit on both sides.
even tough it looks really good off set.

Even if you made no changes what you have now looks great.

Sorry everyone for my slow updates but as the freak knows
I had to play “UNCLE OMAR” for the past week…
At least I got to see monster house.
Now that the kids are back with there mom , I’m spending a bit of time with the “GF”
Family BBQ’s and what not. Once the weekend is over I will be back to full speed.
LATER.

.

haha. gotta get the essentials out of the way. Just kiddin. Glad your back. Is monster house worth checkingout? I saw a couple of textures stretch, character twitch, in the previews, and that pretty much turned me off. lol.

#168

Yo Hairy Bros!

Here is a little update for ya all especially Uncle ‘O’

I remodelled the base of the mower to move it to the middle, but mainly to clean it up A LOT. It’s been an interesting model to make as i have not done this kind of thing much before.

As you can see from these pics, there isn’t much under the hood of the beast. I don’t think we will need it, but let me know if you want any sections closed off etc. I don’t think there is a lot of exposed stuff under a mower anyway (for obvious reaons)

C&C welcome as always

#169

Beautiful, let jsut stick a v10 engine on that puppy and race it.

#170

man, i’de say theres altleast 3 new pages since the last time i checked up on this thing. that is one awsome lawn mower. and maybe add in a turbo with that v8 and then we would be good to go! but im just not sure what all would be exposed with the gap between those levers in the back. i can’t think of an easy way to fix it tho.

#171

sorry for the late post but this is because I was (and still) ill  about the file I will upload it
to my folder
sorry for not being an active member I will try to make anything needed when I recouver

#172

In that case I think we should stick a ferrari logo/sticker on it could be cool lol

really nice work TheFreak

#173

This is awesome. I’ve been following this project for a week. The progress is fast and awesome.
I can do some props modeling and texturing. Anything you like.
Just tell me whatever you need (if you need something at all at this stage  .) and I’ll be here doing my best.

#174

Haha, I guess you have been watching it since it started :). Almost. Right now we are trying to model some junk, and prop concepts for the lawn mower. Good to have you on.

#175

It really happened too many times, where I just said I was going to contribute, but did nothing ever after.
So here’s what I’ve been working on. It’s not difficult, it’s not superb, it’s just matching the sketch as close as possible.

#176

Pretty good… looks like what I had in mind…

The only thing is that the claw should be able to open and close… so work on giving
it some kind of a hinge or joint.

#177

Yeah, I should have said that in my post. I didn’t do anything at all on the claw, just a spline (‘arc’) with 4 sides, turned 45 degrees and stretched out verticaly.
I’ll detaill it.

Just a question; did you actually think of a system? Will this will work? Or is it just going to be some close-ups of things spinning and turning until the ball is launched?
I tried to figure it out, but I can’t see a way why the rope would pull on the claw

#178

LOL… well it is just for looks… but we can fake it working…
the cable can be like a bike hand brake cable… or something along them lines.

#179

I am going to have fun rigging this puppy… lol.

#180

Hey bot13 welkom aan boord, ziet er goed uit ;).

Looking nice, with the extra detail added it will look even better hehe :).

Boy1da: Did somebody model those background houses already?
