Not much to crit, but you know me, I can always find something to pick on :twisted:

Maybe make the front forks as one piece, it would look more molded toy like.
A bit bigger on the pedal. Softer and a bit thicker on the top seat pad or maybe make it like a handle ? That might look kool. Sink in the back wheel hubs and clone the front spokes drop
them in…the freaks lawn mower has nice wheels that would also look good at the back.
Or you can take the easy way out and I will do all the tweaks when it comes time to texture it. Your choice…

Well dip me in custard and call me susan!! I have missed like 2 and a half pages of stuff. All this fun new modelling and not a freak in sight!!

I think my subscription to the thread must have been hammered cause i didn’t get any of this :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway I might just hop in and make some stuff, I need an excuse to get stuck in so I will give it a go. Not sure what to make yet so I will just mess about with some stuff to get into the swing of things and then I might go for a house.

Great work by everyone, it’s all looking very cool and as always the Big O is on the ball.

Hello Folks,

Well I just decided to bog into one of the new houses to get myself warmed up. Sorry I didn’t use your “House Kit” Omar but I wanted to have a go at making it from scratch for the practice and experience.

Here it is, have not added in the garage type thing or car but I might throw them together next. The back of the house is pretty bland…ok non existant. Not sure if its needed though so if it is just let me know.

Let me know if this is OK

Oh and hello to all the new guys, forgot to say that in the last post. The truck is looking good nicoone and so is the trike. Looking forward to more updates.

Also loving those leaves Big O you have a very cool style, although I am glad I am not the one building the entire tree out of them. Good thing to killed all your family members and close friends.

As for your house, zoning law 5A32-7 states that all homes built with
hi levels of asbestos insulation, led paint and bad plumbing are unsafe.
Unless you use the “O.K.N” regulation building kit your permit will be revoked.

Because it looks so kool, and if you throw in a cash bribe, I will let it pass.

I think that the black is a bit too dark but that is a quick fix.
I may change the color based on the character that is riding it.
the flames look a bit lo-rez blurry. How big is your map ?
Anyway no big deal put it up when you are ready. :thumbsup:

into models that look good, I would think you guys would say “WTF”

I hope I never have to model a tree again for the rest of my life.
Some bad stretching in the trunk texture, I may or may not tweak it based on the final shots.

Oh here is a close up of the textures for the very kool super realistic tire that Tony made.
I may clone and rescale a few to put on all the vehicles in the scene.

Good start, good design.

2 things you have to make sure of.

1: The corners of your model are too sharp.
You should look at this postI did for Tony’s first house.
this will explain what we are going for.

2: Make sure that your walls are made with more then one part
It makes it fast to texture… or to brake apart to work on.

I will send you a PM with the ftp info so you can put your files on
and post your WIP images.

As for this project, it is all for the fun,learning and to hang out
with friends all over the world who like CG art… not for profit.
We each own what ever work we did.

And yes we all will get full credit for our work in the final video.

After we are done we can use it as a demo, and we can post it
all over the web and see what comes of it ???

The Tree is looking brilliant, you have some patience to make something that nasty with so much detail. You are a crazy mofo. The tyre is also looking very cool.

Nice sk8board Tony (see what I did there, thats the lingo the kids use. And people say I am getting old and out of touch…no way!!) Like the design but I agree about the low rez flames but that should be easily fixed.

Welcome aboard immortalx. You sound like a man who is worried about what will happen his work. Well let me assure you that anything you make will be traded on ebay for top dollar and we will use the money to feed Omars ever increasing drug habit, that is quickly taking over his life :smiley:
OK Seriously this is all for the fun and the learning curve of it. We are here to meet fellow CG Artists and try and complete something worth showing to the world. If we pull this one off we will be the first group in CGTalk history to actually complete a collab via the collab forum. Now is that not something to be proud of!!
Plus you get the chance to talk to me from time to time…hell thats the only reason I am on here!!!

OK enough crap, back to work. I will try and build the roof/garage thing for the house and a wee car to go in there. I think I will also fix the front window as it looks a tad crap.

And about the tree… Wow, I just fell of my chair.:bounce: it really rocks!

If you look at my join date, I joined the cgsociety in 2005, never spoke so much as a word. And I never had the motivation to finish any 3d work. Until I decided to take a look at the collab forum. Fetch saved my life!(to dramatic)

I am still really like, wow didn’t know that I can make this stuff. Until now it has all been learing for me, and Im really not done jet.

The credits is the least I worry about, its a honor to work with all of you.

Sorry guys, no updates to day.:slight_smile: I just woke up:P and now its time to sleep here on this side of the world. I need to get a life…

Hello again,

More updates to my new home. I hope it meets building regulations.

I have added a wee garage thing and a wee car to go into it. The car is pretty basic so i doubt it will be much use for anything else. Maybe a toy if you want it for that.

I also fixed the top window. The previous one was too big. And added some brick work to the chimney.

If it is all OK I will op it onto the server.
