You guys deserve it, enjoy the vacation!

#562

lol u think so hehehe :bounce: ok I wont disappoint u then I wont stop working

#563

So far I’m not getting much of a break, as soon as I said
I was gonna take some time out, I got a freelance job.
So I’m working hard on that now rigging cartoon lemurs…
The client was also very impressed by the work done in shot 1 of fetch.
I’m sure it helped to close the deal. :deal:

Anyway I’m also trying to squeeze in some render time for
shot 3, bit by bit I will break it into layers as always to render it.
I’ll let you all know when it is done.

We still have cars and houses to model,
so if anyone wants to model something just go ahead.

Until next time.

#564

oh u reminded me hehe sorry almost forgot the house updates coming in while I hope

#565

some closeups as asked by Omar

so is it better  ?

#566

Hey tony, still need a bit of work.

I’ve posted this image to try to show you the edge sharpness I’m always telling you about
Your corners are too sharp “low Polly” style… It will not get good lighting hi lights
or shading if it is modeled that way. Look at the boxes below to see the difference round
edges make … all the edges on all your models should look like the second box.
you don’t have to use mesh smooth to achieve this look , but that is what I used .

If you are still not sure then send me your max file I will try to find some time to do a tutorial.

#567

bet they are awesome, how are they going?

#568

Glad for you and the Lemurs my friend!!
Take your time, those lemurs have to pay the bills!!!

#569

well the problem is that the house is lowpoly indeed so having bad time trying to use mesh smooth:D

anyway I will try to make what u want
I thought u wanted it lowpoly since it will be in the background :bounce:
( no worry mate I won`t take ur time for a tut hehehe:twisted: u should use it in anything else :scream: )

#570

You can also just chamfer the edges in max on a low poly model.
Or use a chamfer box primitive as your base models, also the model does
not have to be modeled all in one part you can make it out of walls and wood
pannels… you get the idea.

#571

yes man I know this but anyway I used mesh smooth :bounce: and added some edges here and
there lol

#572

Okay…

The scale of the door needs to be bigger , look at the window in the door.
Then look at the widow beside it. The size of the windows should be the same size.
Or at least closer in size. even tough my drawing is not that accurate :stuck_out_tongue:

When you are done put it on the server.

#573

lol ok mate I will do that  grrrr what a break Iam having :bounce: haaaaaaaa lol kidding Iam having fun

#574

the file is up …

#575

I’m ashamed… I promised some modelling and still didnt do anything… I think I shouldnt have mentioned I had freetime somebody must have heard it… but I started working on one of the cars nothing to show yet though
but I’m busy with it

nice house the_best
and nice vacation Boy1da and Juancheitor

cheers
jozef

#576

Well, I haven’t had much of a break, I’m still up to my eyes in lemur furry A$$ ! LOL

Been still working on Fetch at the same time…

I’ve rendered shot 3, It still needs some work but it’s a good
habit to render out the shot in full to see what needs to be fixed.

The motion blur on the dog is doing some crazy things.
I’m not sure about the bouncing camera, I may also do a version
with a still camera, what do you guys think about the camera movement ?

CLICK THE IMAGE

Also while rendering lemur fur…
I drew a few concepts for extra characters. These will be back ground characters
but I would still like them to have the quality of the boy model.
I would like to add a shot with the mom yelling out of the window.
We will only need to model her upper body.

The other kids will be playing on the street.

So if you are a character modeler, jump in and start modeling.

With or without these characters the shot will still work.
So it would be nice to have them modeled but if not oh well,
the story can still be told.

I’ve also been doing some sound editing with the voices and syncing
them up to the video. I will post that at a later time.

#577

looking very nice Omar.
I love the doggy with his feet motoring in mid air…cute funny stuff .
Re the bob of the camera…it’s maybe a bit much, but something about it is too good to say take it out… maybe trying a combo? one medium/close shot of just the dog and his jumps could have the camera bounce and leave the second wide shot locked?

Either way, looks very good.

#578

I agree it’s good to have the cam bob. I might start the mom, have some stuff to finish first tho.

#579

Great work with the face Omar!
I didn´t remember the dog was brown, I was used to the freeze-white.
The camera is a bit too much for me, it follows the dog and it jumps very fast for the camera, I´d move it a bit less.
And, I BLAME MYSELF, because I´d animated it, but the dog´s rear footdoesn´t land when it hits the floor. My fault.
Tony, we can´t let you rest, you keep this thing alive!!

#580

lol thanks mate for that I shall have no rest  hehe but for keeping the project alive this
is because of u and Omar u guys rock :buttrock:
