hey SD how are u my friend ?
thanks for ur kind words really appreciated :bounce: ( remember u helped me alot to be better
thanks )
Hi guys,
great to see more and more helping hands, thought you all had gone…
Here is my last update, notice that the dog is not fully animated, I mean, I want him to run in the air in every bounce.
I also want to make the boy´s animation more edgy, it seems mushy, but I can´t get more out of it tonight, I am stuck.
I think the boy shouldn´t laugh too much at the end, he is laughing for 2 secs in shot 5, let´s say shot 4 would be another 3 seconds more, and after kicking the ball I need time to repose him on the floor, 3 secs aprox, that´s 8 seconds with no more laughing, at the speed the ball takes in shot 5 the yard must be half a mile long!! (well, a bit shorter maybe…)
If someone can make me a favor and cut it into pieces, it takes me a lot of time (not too many, I have to animate them manually), and make both lamps children of a dummy, we can use the same model in shot 7 as well. If not, I´d do it, no problem.
Almost forgot, the preview:
Well as for the dog animation I think it would look
kool if you alternate between the dog running in the
air and not running in the air. I like the way both look in your test.
Bounce, run, bounce, don’t run, bounce, run, bounce, don’t run, splat…
Oh and as an extra note try to cheat and make the dog fall back
a bit more to the left of the frame, and the boy step back more to the right
of the frame in the end … just so when he points it looks more
like shot 5…
As for the laughing I get what you are saying,
because you worked backward , it feels like shot 5
he is laughing and he is not really in this one.
when it should be more heavy in this one and less in shot 5.
but no big deal… I don’t think shot 4 will be that long.
it will be a bout 15 to 30 frames long.
Yea, I agree the boy floats and slides a bit.
But I’m still happy with what you have so far.
I will set up the lamps for you when I’m setting
up shot 7… I just need a good day to do it right.
I started rendering some rough passes of shot 6
but need to do some animation on the dog, still not
sure if I will animate the boy in that shot.
Good job Tony, I like your enthusiasm, Keep it up!
new update for shot 03
Preview
I am happy with most of it, the kid has his weight on the ground now and the dog jumps like crazy. I will do the ball when I get the final timing for the dog.
I´d like to finish it this week because I am going away till New Year
on Monday, so quick C&C very welcome.
Enjoy
Hey Tony… good to see you still at it.
The tree looks good just a bit one sided however.
You have branches coming out left and right.
But none coming out front and back.
Oh and maybe add the starting of some roots at the bottom.
Mr.Couto…
Still keeping up a good pace.
I still feel we need more boy laughing at the end
And less dog at the start. The dog will also be bouncing in shot 2
so keep that in mind.
The big thing that I see is, after the boy kicks his foot snaps back …
Maybe he should not plant his foot after the kick, but swing it and jump back .
I don’t know if you get what I mean ?
Good work none the less.
I just want to say you guys are producing some great stuff! I rarely post but seeing your progress made me get off my Butt and say something.
Can’t wait to see more.
Changed it a bit:
shot 03 again
I cut the beggining and added in the end, also slowed it down to have a smoother landing of his foot. If he swings it without landing, it will look as if he doesn´t kick it hard, by no means strong enough to knock him out in shot 05.
You know what I mean.I redo it again if you still want that, though.
If not, I clean it and next thing you see will be 95% done.
Hey guys,
Thanks for all you dedication to the project.
Your input and great work is what is keeping this thing alive
and will make this project a big success in the end.
Patrick good stuff… good to have you still participating.
And very kool to see Juan put your dog model into action.
Tony, good stuff… put it on the server I can tweak if need be.
As you always like to say "KEEP GOING "
Juan,great work as always.
Here is a video crit… that kick is still a bit awkward.
I hope it is of use to you… I trying not to be too much of a pest.
VIDEO 7.MEGS
As for me, I’ve been a bit busy to do any updates myself.
Doing some quick freelance work again, nothing big just some logo design.
As well trying to do some work on my other project HARDWIRED, so I can
kick start it again for the new year.
But I’m always here to help anyone with whatever.
I’ll be pushing out some more wips by the new year for sure.
The year is ending on a good note, so we will have a great start for the
next year.
Enjoy your holidays all !
I trying not to be too much of a pest.
What can I say? you are the director, is your duty to be a pest ![]()
I guess this is roughly what you are looking for:
more simple kick
(not a “maradona kick”, but good enough). I think the weirdness in the other version came from avoiding bumping into the dog, he should have flied forward… anyway, let me know if I am close enough.
Yep defainatly on the right track.
More videos too lazy to type it …
I made 2 files because I started to mumble at the end of the first one.
But both are just some ideas that I’m throwing up in the air.
EDIT: forget about the part when I say make him jump up ???
great work Omar and Juan u do awsome job so keep going  guys
" the file is up now
"
lol hey that`s my word
This is what a came up with, still have to clean the mesh intersections between the dog and the ball, but other than that, most of it is ready to start facial and clean curves,
I´d like to get it done by tomorrow if I don´t have to change too much.
hope you like it guys.
