Hello, I´ve just finished timing shot 3.
No frame counter because I timed it out in Monkey Jam.
Shot 3
Waiting for comments.

Awesome work guys! :buttrock:

One thing that stands out for me is how evil the kid is, hehe i dunno if that was the intention but that kid looks borderline psychotic :D.

Keep them updates comin’!

#483

hey Omar I uploaded the file and it is going to be a matter of time to begin in the new model
weeeeeeeeeeeee:bounce:

#484

I made the wrench, you can find it in my folder :).

#485

looks cool my friend keep it up

I’m a bit busy this weekend , as well as the fact all my computers are busy rendering
at the moment, so I can’t really give an in depth comment as I would
like to with videos and all.

Psyk0, thanks for the model.

Tony thanks for keeping the modeling section alive.
waiting to see what’s next , hope we can get you some more team mates .

Juan, looking good.
I’ll try to give you some quick input,
I’m not able to give any video input as I said above
would probably be better.

Most of the adjustments that have to be made are
mainly character based not so much animation wise.

I agree with Psyk0’s comment about the boy looking a bit too evil.
But I still like most of the key poses you gave him.
The dog seems a bit too smart as well.Again very good poses.
I think he gets a bit too stretched at times.

Over all there may be too many beats again.
The over all energy is a bit too high for what I had in mind.
The humor should be a bit more “dry”
It should be very repetitive and monotonous.
The boy is not really angry at this stage
more annoyed. He is not really openly trying to hurt the dog.
It is more like you punching your little brother, and hoping
that your parents didn’t see it.

The beat of the shot should be more like.
bounce,bounce,bounce,bounce,bounce,bounce,bounce,bounce,kick. splat!

The stuff the dog does now may be a bit more suited for shot 2.
Well that was my short version.
hope it helps ?

Well had some free time and because animation is taken care of really good I thought I’d give modelling a try here is what I came up with :

cheers

#488

Nice model Jozef

You know where to put it

#489

2nd pass of shot 3, very rough, to not waste time again.
Shot 3

#490

Keep it up guys…GREAT to see you all steadily rocking the takes out like an assembly line.

#491

It’s always kool to have you drop by softdistortion.
I guess you have been doing allot of rendering yourself lately ?
What you gonna do with that p3 chip, you should build
an extra rendering system with it. I seem to be running out
of network space on my router :hmm:

Juan is an animation robot with a super ninja dog.
Just what we needed for this project.:buttrock: :deal:

Juan that last version is exactly what I had in mind.
Not much to comment on.
The biggest thing is that we should see more laughing
from the boy at the end , so you will have to extend the shot.
One small thing when the dog splats , lets spread him out
as much as we can. That’s it for now.

Shot 8 rendering is almost done…
All that is left to do is render the light bulb layer.
And add the glowing effect. Hope it can bee seen in daylight ?

I may also have to make some small adjustments to the boy’s layer.
As far as intersecting geometry, and some render mistakes.

So in a few more days, but by the end of this week for sure.

#492

Yep, we’re knee deep nn the renderfarm …heh…now that the comp formula is sorted, been rendering solid for a couple days to produce all the frames for a few camera angles of the stealth fuchikoma.

The P3 is sitting with it’s matched partner for now. for some reason I got the idea you needed an extra for that dual setup so I thought I’d ask…I’d still offer if they would be useful, but if you had to build around just the CPUs it’d likely be more bang going with a P4.

You definitely have some active team mates helping out!
KUDOS to all you guys… Keep the collabs rockin as long as we can. :wip:

#493

hey guys, long time no see.
so i decided to get back into the business. heres a WIP of the vespa.
thats animations are looking AWSOME. looks like someones been busy. haha

#494

Looking good Russell

My only crit is to make the front fender shorter.

Good to have you back in the mix.

#495

Shot 8 is pretty much done, some small tweaks.
The light bulb was done with the scan-line render
so I did it in a few seconds.

I didn’t do the boy’s layer over yet.
His hair animation at the start floats a bit… so we may need to fix that.

We will have to put the street stuff in the backdrop when they
are made.

Juan I may have you do some animation of the parts of the
lamp base falling into the shot at the start.
The same as we did for the smashing bulb,
except we will only see the parts bouncing off the boxes
and the plug falling to the ground.

I will let you know when I have that file set up for you.

Well here is shot 8. Click image. 3 megs

#496

hey guys, heres an update of the vespa.

#497

All you need is a head and rear light and the handle bars.
You may also want to fill that space behind the front wheel.
It makes it look hollow.
LATER.

#498

decided to model the trees and here is the tire don`t know if it looks ok I think it has too many
details lol what do u think is it ok ?

#499

Ha that tire looks pretty realistic  but for the tire swing I guess the detail could
work as a bonus… and I may slip it on a few of the cars too

Good stuff.

Nice work Tony.
It’s encoraging to see you stuck with it through the first steps and have progressed so much.
Even your image linking is sorted like an experienced forum user.
You’ve come a long way in a short while.
