This was one of the more photo-real entries this month. It doesn’t entirely read as a ‘landing site’, but it has a great sense of place and scale. The architectural details are fantastic, and the left tower in particular is well integrated into the scene.
There were some technical issues with the image - the distant rock wall in particular, which looks lit from the right in a backlit scene. I would also say (like most of the other entries) that the image as a whole looks under-exposed.
I’ve done a paintover of all the top entries - here is my suggestion of how you could push this image further:
BEFORE:

AFTER:

-Add a distant raked light source to highlight the great architectural details (as if from a setting sun), and give a greater sense of form to the structures
-Adjust the perspective on the right tower, and integrate it better with the ground. Also remove the rivets, as they were disrupting the great sense of scale in the rest of the image
-Remove the grain in the sky, and expose up the whole image
-Make the distant cliff more ‘backlit’ instead of ‘side lit’
