February 2015 - Tibor Nadas

#1

Hey everyone!
This is my first concept.
2A. EXT. LANDING FIELD - NIGHT

#2

Very very nice work here :smiley: This answers the brief perfectly! Canyon & landing dock looks awesome, I look forward to seeing this piece develop further :slight_smile:

#3

Great start! I love the mood and in particular the use of the airport, its really well-lit and lends some realism.

#4

Only one word : beautifull ! :applause:

#5

Awesome work Tibor! Be careful with the clipping of the lights in the sky. I remember that was one of the critiques from the judges last month.

btw, is this your short film? http://youtube.com/watch?v=IRm52VfOeYw

Just wondering… it was also done by a guy named Tibor Nadas

Really good start. Now, I understand this is early stage stuff but always make sure there is sense behind your lighting. Always have everything motivated by proper light sources, so your global and local lighting set-ups are all fully rectifiable.

#7

I like this pic. The setting. Cool.

#8

Very very cool! I love it :buttrock:

The only thing, and maybe its just my eyes, but it looks like something with the placement of the airport is not right. Or theres just too much perspective on the left hand side of the canyon as if the canyon side is getting smaller (wider lens) compared to the airport which looks like its shot with a longer lens. Perspective or just vanishing points could be a little off maybe.

I would like to thank all the feedbacks, and comments.

@Hemal:
Thanks, Yes that`s my short film :slight_smile:

@Milan:
Thanks for your comment, I will focus to create a proper light setup, and use it in all the picture.

@poulresensteenstru:
Thanks, I see the same, the airport is not final, I will work on it.

#10

Here is the first wip version, I am planning few elements in the foreground and some to the background as well.

#11

Hi everyone,
This is my second Wip.

#12

My final picture.

HD 1920x1080

#13

Very well done, Tibor. I really like your final image… such nice detail.
I can’t help feeling we were both inspired to paint different versions of the same planet. :slight_smile:

#14

Good stuff Tibor, :beer:
the only thing that feels a bit strange to me is the rocks on the left. Maybe try flattening the contrast a tiny bit here. It attracts my eye allmost more than the real center of interest.

cheers

#15

Thanks Thad! :slight_smile:

#16

Thanks Jannis, :slight_smile:

I agree, I had no time for the last level of polishing.

cheers
